BMW announces more advanced iPod integration

BMW has announced that
its iPod integration will go a step further than simply piping the player's tunes through their cars' speakers.
Play control, access to playlists, ability to sort and other iPod control features will be managed directly from the
head unit and redundant steering wheel controls. Additionally, artist, title and song text will appear on the stereo's
display.
In addition to the new advanced iPod integration, the sound system is also compatible with SIRIUS Satellite Radio and HD Radio. The function will initially be available on BMW's 3, 5, 6, and 7 Series, the M5 Sedan and M6 Coupe.
